hello ppl.. i am really new to this side of os..
i have used win 95, 98 xp vista ultimate, win7 beta and win7.. right now i am downloading win7 7600 so called rtm..
i came across wubi.. and after 2 days of reading i came across ur page in order to choose which one shud i finally try..
i am still confused..======
my scenario..
i have 2 pcs..my pc is core 2 duo 6mb processoer.. and its quite a versatile pc..and i have ati 7800 series graphic card.. and its quite powerful pc.. - current os win7 ultimatemy mom pc.. intel p4 3 ghz.. 512 mb ram
very freaking slow.. i have nvidea graphic card which itself is way too stong for that pc.. used to get lot of graphic prob with xp..
win7 default driver fixed it..
way too slow.. opening ie takes time , loading ie takes time and scroling pages takes time..
better with win7 now..
getting slower as i install new programs to it..
like office and adobe etc..
skype- calls ring for a min even after u pick..video takes time to load..damn..
at first as i installed win7..the system was fast.. like 2 times fast now slow..
================now my question which u already know..
which ubuntu shud i get??
both for me and my mom pc..
i want good one for my mom,, but also faster one.. she wl be using skype and streaming videos of my bro in states..
as for me i want really hard core multimedia and everything , great graphics one.. i am a gamer.. and i understand ubuntu doesnt have good games.. still in what it has i want its best.. i AM NOT A PROGRAMER. SO THOSE CMD LINES AN ALL ARE SENSELESS TO ME..
======
can u suggest 2 great ones for me? and will it help my moms pc at all??
i want her pc to have multimedia too.. :(
====
lastly.. is it possible to have 2 or more ubuntu in one pc? thru wubi i mean??
i have my eyes on the religious buntu, but guess its neither less resource consuming nor multimedia..
or better yet.. can i install one buntu and get softwares or programs which i like from reli buntu and install in the other buntu??
hope u understood what i meant..
===
thanks alot alot and alot..

umm.. etuuu..<br

On a separate unrelated note the link to Ubuntu home service is linked right, but listed wrong. It shares the description of the distro before, The Spanish version.

I really enjoy using Linux Mint 4.0.
