Flightgear is a great sim without doubt. Very realistic and accurate. But can be a challenge if you are trying to compile the application all by yourself. Instead you can Visit http://www.unitedfreeworld.com for the latest DEB files for Flightgear,FGRUN and FGCOM. It comes as acomplete package. These latest packages are not found on the official repo tho.
