Just a short post to all of you. I'm am trying and experiment.

You will see flags on the right side of this blog. Click the flag you want to translate the text into. This is using the Google Translation Service and the "Global Translator Plugin". The plugin is found here: http://www.nothing2hide.net/wp-plugins/wordpress-global-translator-plugin/

My questions to you are:

1) Is the plugin and the Google translation service working for you?

2) Is this adding value to your visit?

But... to better clarify your thoughts. Please use the poll on the right sidebar to send your feedback.

Thanks! :)

    A similar thing works on the freegamer blog. I think you messed yours up though, I get this: “We’re sorry…

    … but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can’t process your request right now. “

    Go look and see what happens. It died sometime yesterday. I already voted so could not change the vote.

    I clicked the link and here’s what Google says:

    Why is everyone in my network encountering a ‘We’re Sorry’ page when using Google?

    The CAPTCHA page you’re referring to is served by Google when we experience a quick spike in traffic on Google.com. A CAPTCHA image helps us determine whether traffic is coming from automated robot software or individual users. Please be aware that your network is receiving this page because our system is detecting automated querying coming from your network’s IP address.

    Sending automated queries of any sort to Google is against our Terms of Service. For more information on Google Terms of Service for Your Personal Use, please visit http://www.google.com/terms_of.....rvice.html. Note that “sending automated queries” includes, among other things:

    * using any software which sends queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage “ranks” on Google for various queries;
    * “meta-searching” Google; and
    * performing “offline” searches on Google.

    It is likely that a user in your network is violating our Terms of Service by running one of the above programs. Once you’ve identified this user and he/she removes the program in question, the ban on your IP address will automatically be lifted.

    We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have you searching on Google.com again soon.

    Well it’s working here no problem. Videos won’t show up though (on other languages) when Google translates the pages. And Google is also translating the code (like apt-get) and other commands.

    Okay everyone. :) I think I’ve fixed the translation problem. Please comment or send a message if it fails again.

    Sorry that I did not go over all the “it’s not working” comments – I just got totally swamped with them. (Yikes!)
