I asked at mozilla forum and I got a very simple answer – just to go to Adobe site, download *.tar.gz script and install it manually. Now it really works!

Maybe anyone knows just how to find a place where Fx looks for Flash? I could find it on my own – now I cannot use Flash at all with Fx3 and it is a “little” disturbing…

No, I have it installed in standard location. File:
/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so
exists. I made symb. links to this file (which is, also, sl to /etc/alternatives/firefox-flashplugin) in the following locations:
/usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins
/usr/lib/firefox-3.0b3/plugins
/usr/lib/firefox-3.0b5/plugins
but it changed nothing.

Shouldn’t I do sth with stuff in /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree? I have no other idea.

@m_gol – It works for me.
I could be that flash is installed in a different location?
Maybe you don’t have it installed in the path used by the post? Try changing the actual path to the location on your system.

@m-gol – Yes you are totally correct! :)

I was just trying to get across to any readers that because Firefox 3 is still in Beta, that there are going to be issues. ;) That’s the only reason why I quoted it. I will try the upgraded later and see if I have the same issue with Flash (I probably will). And then we can see how we are able to fix this.

@m_gol – Let me see what I can find. This was just release yesterday (Apr. 02) so I have not installed it yet.

How to make it in Fx3b5? Changing “firefox-3.0b3″ to “firefox-3.0b5″ doesn’t work…
